Looking for a high-protein, low-carb comfort meal that still satisfies your cravings? Try this nutritious twist on traditional lasagna — made with EggLife wraps instead of noodles!


EggLife Wraps: A low carb, high protein alternative to regular noodles.

Red Sauce (Lowest sugar and sodium option): Choose a sauce that is low in calories, sodium, and sugar. Some sauces even have a good amount of fiber in them.

Textured Vegetable Protein: A soy-based meat alternative that is cheap and has more protein than it's meat-based alternative.

Ricotta Cheese and Low-Fat Mozzarella Cheese: Good sources of protein that are not high in carbs.

Optional - Black Beans: Adds a healthy complex carb that is great for fiber and protein.


Instructions:

Cook 1lb of Textured vegetable protein.

Add in Red Sauce (just enough sauce for the meat (unknown quantity - will need to guestimate) to meat

Add 1 Egglife wrap to 8x8 pan

Add just enough Ricotta to lightly cover wrap

Add 1/3 of meat sauce

Lightly sprinkle a layer of low fat mozzarella cheese

Repeat process 2 more times for 3 layers

Bake for about 15 minutes at 400 degrees and broil for about 30-60 seconds at the end

Cut into 4 equal parts (1 serving)
